Hi guys, I haven't posted for a while because I've been busy. Girls, scripts, videos and other stuff but! As this blog approaches its first birthday I have decided to start afresh. Doctor Who TV is over...but rising out of its ashes is a BRAND NEW Blog/Podcast. The Doctor Who Universal Podcast! The blog will remain active as a News Source and from Easter there will be a weekly podcast with 3 hosts (so far). Every week a new episode premieres there will be a so called Roundtable discussion with guest hosts and a review of the previous episode. Anyway, to what you've come for! A New 1 MINUTE TORCHWOOD TRAILER!

Torchwood looks amazing. Apart of this revamp (By the way is it 2008 ALREADY?! Feels like only yesterday I was sitting down on my bed to watch Rose for the first time!) the podcast will form part of a weekly remit including a new Music Video everyweek, a video review of the episodes, a cut down Vodcast and while Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures are on the air there will be a separate Podcast/Vodcast for the episodes in question. Slitheen vs Sarah Jane: The Review!

This really isnt a proper review as I will do a Video Review next week to avoid major spoilers for those who missed it on the CBBC Channel. Now then, Part One was a stroke of genius, I did fear that they would disqualify Invasion of the Bane from continuity but I'm glad they didn't, and for those who missed Invasion of the Bane, there was a nice flashback at the beginning to remind or inform. Now then, The Mini Slitheen really was a stroke of genius, especially in part two, cowering with fear, and well im not going to spoil anymore!

Honestly, I like the character of Clyde, he's alot more enjoyable than loudmouth Kelsey. Luke is adorable, and Sarah Jane is FABULOUS as a mother. The Cliffhanger of Part One was brilliant, all of them in Danger. I have to admit this is a Fantastic Episode. Well written, well directed, everything. I will do a review for Part Two on Monday...although that may form part of my Video Review. Anyway, that's all for now! Bye!

If Harry Lloyd does become the new Doctor, how will it be explained how he looks like Son of Mine? Some Series Four News now, Filming has wrapped on the Agatha Christie episode guest starring Fenella Woolgar and Felicity Kendall alongside David Tennant and Catherine Tate. Although it is most likely to be The Second Two parter (Expected to be episodes 7 and 8 or maybe Martha comes in and saves The World if the Two parter is episodes 8 & 9). Hi guys! I couldn't resist a Master opening :) Never could! Anyway, the cover for the Complete Third Series Boxset has been released (and can be seen below) and it is very good!

That will look very nice next to the second series and all my classic series dvds, with the 9th Doctor and Rose at the end. The Doctor and The Master on the front is quite unusual, I would have expected it to be The Doctor and Martha, with Donna somewhere in the background. No word on extras yet or the backcover, it is expected to feature Martha flanked by a Judoon and The Dalek Sec Human Hybrid. It features all of Series Three including The Runaway Bride. Hopefully it will feature trailers, like all the episode trailers and the big Series Three trailer shown on BBCi before the Series started. David Tennant's Video Diaries along with Freema Agyeman's are a dead cert. There are rumors of highlights of the Children in Need concert. The Christmas Confidential will be on the Runaway Bride disc. So let's look at my Xmas list...Key to Time...Series Three...12 inch Martha...shall I continue? No? Ok. Kylie Minogue's starring role in Doctor Who will see her step back in time to play a waitress on the doomed Titanic, it has been revealed.

The actress-turned-singer is joining the Time Lord for a one-off Christmas special, called Voyage of the Damned.

The 39-year-old began filming for the festive show in Cardiff this week and the first picture of her in character with David Tennant has been released.

Writer and producer Russell T Davies said the episode would be "ambitious".
Minogue follows in the footsteps of comic actress Catherine Tate, who starred in the Christmas special last year.

"It is an incredible thrill to be joining David and the entire Dr Who production for this year's Christmas special," Minogue said.

"Doctor Who enjoys a unique history and it is going to be very exciting to be a part of that."

"As they say I can resist everything except temptation, so I poppped down to Westgate Street after my late lunch and managed to get these photos of the explosive event. It was pretty effective, the girl standing next to me jumped out of her skin, then some dozy woman started shouting about how she'd missed everything (despite the crew asking for people to be quiet)."

Viewers of last night's finale will have been treated to the title of this year's christmas special. In the closing moments of Series Three, the Titanic of all things seemed to burst through into the TARDIS console room, to which we were treated with the now classic 'what?!' line from The Doctor.

After which came the caption: "Doctor Who will return at Christmas in: Voyage of the Damned.

Speculation has already ensued as to what and who can be expected in the special, and with potential Iceburgs, the old Ice Warrior rumours have resurfaced. Could we all be hearing the line: "Ice Warrior's, dead ahead"? Well... maybe not, but perhaps the rumours surrounding Kylie Minogue appearing in the special, may have some truth. More news and announcements are expected to filter through this week, and according to the commentary for 3.13: Last of the Time Lords, Phil Collinson stated 'a very special guest will be announced next week'.

Well on my third watching of Utopia I am really amazed at the last 5-10 minutes! Brilliant performance from Tennant, Simm, Jacobi & Barrowman. Freema's performance however wasn't as good as in earlier episodes. But saying that, after 9 months in Wales your acting would be a little...battered. I have some screenies of the Sound of Drums which I will put up in the episode box soon.

Ianto then throws Jack the car keys that Jack catches (in every one of the dozen takes). Jack then looks like he's been startled and looks around.

They both look for a second before Jack says: "Get in, I'll give you a lift." and they drive off.

Today I saw the most amazing thing ever. Torchwood filming in FULL swing, The Torchwood Technical Vehicle and the SUV where on set. No photos except this one from Scooty

Oh The Vehicle looked Magnificent! Owen looked a bit Weevil-ish, Jack was shouting something at Gwen, Unfortunately Tosh was no where to be seen. I only managed to pick up a few snatches of dialogue, Jack shouted Run and Gwen Started running as Owen ran after them. Tosh did appear late on in the filming, she stepped out of the Technical Vehicle and began running after Owen, Gwen and Jack. Ianto didn't appear at all. I managed to snatch a little chat with John Barrowman and told him about the blog and told him I'm a big fan. By 4pm they had packed up and gone home :( (Did I just use a smilie?) The Utopia of The Future

I was looking through the archives of Torchwood.tv when I found an article on Sci-Fi Pulse detailing spoilers about Jack's return in the episode "Utopia". The Article confirms that the opening of the episode takes place a few mere seconds after the End of "End of Days".

The above photo sees Jack jumping onto the TARDIS, if you look in the background you can see the Cardiff Bay Water Tower (I visited this landmark on the day of the Smith and Jones exclusive screening), "The Doctor and Martha are enjoying a bit of banter about Cardiff, we see Captain Jack running towards us just as the TARDIS dematerialises he latches on"

FX: CUT TO WIDER- he's clinging on, yelling, to the outside of the TARDIS as it hurdles through the vortex

We have been confirmed that the "Mysterious Man" from The Lazaurus Experiment is Harold Saxon. In the Second photo, John Simm is Harold Saxon. Regeneration? Or did he steal the body? The Shakespeare Code Review 1

Well, That was fun. Baddaboom! The Witches where a little bit stereotyped, but good fun none the less.

The Carrionites, good prostestics. Stereotyped voices. The Harry Potter references where well placed except the "All a bit Harry Potter" which was badly placed. I had to laugh at "27 Academics just punched the air" it was well placed and well timed.

The CGI was just amazing!

So then, Overall 4/5, A Good but overbaked a little bit. Expect a Review from Sheebs later on, until next time Whovians!

Hardly seems like 49 posts ago I was New to setting up my own blog doesn't it? But here we are 49 posts later still going strong! Nicky-R has prepared a nice little monologue about his time so far here at DWTV, and Sheebs has prepared a Wallpaper which you can see later on in the post! I've prepared a little photo, well actually quite a few photos here is the first of them!

That is a photo which I mucked about with while testing some software I have. I've got a couple more which will be posted here later! Now it's time for Nicky's monologue about his time here so far!

I wrote some stuff. It was fun. Then I forgot. My butt got numb.

The Sarah Jane Adventures begins filming on Monday 16th April! How cool is that? Helming the first block is none other than Alice Troughton who directed Small Worlds and Out of Time in Torchwood last year. Episodes 7 and 8 of SJA visit Sarah Jane's Childhood and has The Working title "Sarah's Childhood".

Torchwood Series 2 begins filming on Monday 30th April with Block One (Unusually not featuring Episode One) being helmed by Andy Goddard who directed Countrycide and Combat from Series One of Torchwood. Episode One is rumored to be called "Fresh Start", also rumored is that Jack doesn't return to Torchwood until Episode Three. Episode One is being penned by The Show's Creator Russell T Davies. There are going to be changes to the Hub set, including a Brand New Board Room. The Writers of the first 8 episodes have also been revealed, (As said before) Russell T Davies is penning one episode, Chris Chibnall is writing 3, Catherine Tregenna (Out of Time & Captain Jack Harkness) is writing another 2, Helen Raynor (The Ghost Machine, Daleks in Manhattan & Evolution of the Daleks) is writing another episode and to round off, Peter J Hammond (Small Worlds) is writing another episode. Not long now before we hit the Big 50!

Smith and Jones had 8.2 Million People watching in Overnight Ratings, thats a 39.5% share of the audience and the AI (Appreciation Index) was 88, This is the highest figure for a Season Debut, 89 was the figure for Doomsday and The Parting of the Ways. I have been hunting around Youtube for a couple of things to put here, and I have found them!

For The 50th Post-60th Post I will post some specially made photos using some effects and to round it off on the 60th Post I will post up a Special Video testing a effect on some footage for The Shakespeare Code. I have just got back from the Exclusive Screening of Smith & Jones! So Good, so good!

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Well, a very fast episode. So Fast. Super Fast. Within 5 minutes the thunderstorm had transported The Hospital too the moon, lovely to see the Doctor's jimjams again! As soon as The Hospital is transported, Florence Finnigan enters Mr Stoker's office. And she drinks his blood! Every last drop of it! Then her Slab Workers (The People in black) went after The Doctor and Martha and they are soon killed. The Judoon arrive and storm the hospital and scan/catalogue the humans to seek out the Plasmavore. But they scan the Doctor and precede to kill him, but they manage to get away. Old Florence Finnigan is working on a Magnetic Machine, with enough power to kill half the planet! But The Doctor interrupts her and she drinks his blood! The Judoon get into the room and scan Florence, then kill her. The Doctor and Martha are transported back to the Earth and it is so impressive! Then, The Doctor leaves and returns a few hours later at Martha's Brother's (Leo) 21st Birthday and he takes her on "just one trip". 5/5, Better than Doomsday.

Well! We have some announcements! And hopefully the first of many! As part of our S3 Countdown (starting Saturday people!) I have planned a merger. A Merger with a forum. Messages in Time is run by our very own Nicky-R and I am a member there (Whoru4).

Right then, As part of the S3 Countdown we will be running a competition! Throughout Series 3 we will be holding a competition for a New Template. As part of the competition you will be asked to send your entries to me here. Now then. The Template must be based around The New Series Doctor Who Logo, TARDIS and Sonic Screwdriver colours. And Throughout S3, After each episode has aired, the template will be changed to another entry. And then whichever 2 templates get the most votes during the fortnight of Sound of Drums and Episode 13 you will have another oppotunity to vote on the 2 selected templates. The Prize will be, a space on the blog writers team, a special picture commemorating your victory AND you will recieve a specially made video! Entries will close on 30th March with the first entry being revealed at 12 Midday 1st April. Make sure your entries are in Blogger Code and get them in soon!

What a Steel!

Well Today (Because WHSmith still didn't have it in) I headed up to Tescos where my friend had had his copy from and Picked up the 99 Page Long "Made of Steel" written by the former Doctor Who Writer and script editor Terrance Dicks!

Well then, let's start off with the problems shall we? It's too bloody short! Over in about 2 hours for a normal reader. 99 Pages! But that's not bad is it? For 2 Quid, and it being Doctor Who it's not bad! But one of the biggest ever problems is the blurb doesn't match the story! Here's the cover blurb

A Deadly Night Attack on an army base. Vehicles are destroyed, buildings burned, soldiers killed. The Attackers vanish as swiftly as they came, taking highly advanced equipment with them.

Metal Figures Attack a shopping mall. But why do they only want a new games console from an ordinary electronics shop? An obscure Government Ministry is blown up - but, in the wreckage, no trace if found of the secret state-of-the-art decoding equipment.

Now then, bet your thinking that what's wrong with that? Well, the attack on the army base isn't attacked first. If anything, the whole blurb is in the wrong order and yet still CLOMPLETELY wrong! And then there's the attacking on the shopping "mall", it's not a mall at all. Just a really big shop. Called The MegaTech Centre. And the blurb says they take a Games Console, yet they don't. Well they might have, except the writer doesn't actually bother to point that out! He just says they took alot of electronic equipment. And to finish off the problems, The Doctor and Martha DO NOT return from a distant galaxy! Now then slight spoiler for the series here, Martha has 2 med student friends called Rachael and Fanshawe. Very well written apart from the blurb problems! Well worth buying! Gives us a insight into Martha Jones (Her parents are divorced) and well, I love it. I'll re-read it again very very shortly! 4/5, Obviously hastily rewritten at a very late stage but well written, and very well loved/recieved here at DWTV! Until next time, goodbye!

P.S. The Martha/Adeola mystery is solved here! Martha comments that The Doctor was at the battle of canary wharf, and asks if he saw her cousin Adeola. Who happens to look alot like Martha! Another reason to go out and buy it! See Ya!

This issue, producers Julie Gardner and Phil Collinson are given a grilling - not by DWM, but by their own colleagues! Find out whether Michael Sheen is going to be the Eleventh Doctor, why Julie Gardner's windows have been nailed shut, and what the bathrooms are like in the TARDIS. "Phil, you'd better take that one!" laughs Julie.
"Well, we have agonised, actually, whether or not to bring back the Zarbi."
Phil replies.
"Which ones were the Zarbi?" asks Julie.
"The Zarbi were in a story [The Web Planet] in like 1965 or something," Phil explains. "They were great big giant ants, which were actually ballet dancers in black tights, with a fibreglass ant on top of them. They would look rather marvellous in colour, it's true to say, but I can exclusively reveal that we are not going to be bringing back the Zarbi, I'm sorry David. He's lobbied hard for them, but we just think they're going to be too frightening for young children."
Perhaps they could feature in Torchwood?
"Yes, I'll take them!" pipes up Julie. "Phil, hand me your Zarbi!"

DVD Mayhem

Well, hell ova lot of stuff have been happening lately! As you've probaly noticed the last 10 posts have been made for the episode guide. First off here is the cover for The Upcoming DVD Release Survival.

That is released on Monday 16th April. Also Earmarked for Release so far this year is Robot (4th Doctor) and Timelash (6th Doctor).

Here is the Release Scheduale to June,

The 2nd April sees The Runaway Bride released with a single special feature of The Music & Monsters Doctor Who Confidential. As reported up there, Survival is released on the 16th April. 14th May sees Series 3 Volume 1 being released. 28th May sees Robot released, 11th June is Series 3 Volume 2, and 25th June sees Timelash being released.

They have been filming outside the Cardiff Hilton and these are officially the first photos of Jack with the Tenth Doctor, um just gotta wipe the drool away. Jack was heard to tell the Doctor how he got back from 201st Century, but no one can find out how, wish someone had told me how.
